Reels (Coming Soon)

Short video explainers are planned. There is nothing to watch yet.

We are planning a Reels section of short video explainers about entertainment and AI. To be completely clear: there are no videos on this site yet, and nothing here is playable. This page exists so you know what is coming.

What we plan to make

Reels will be brief, focused explainers designed to be watched in a minute or two. We are thinking about formats such as:

  • How it was made – a quick breakdown of how a generated scene, song or character is built.
  • Spot the synthetic – practical tips for noticing generated imagery and audio.
  • Explain it simply – plain-language takes on terms like digital replica, prompt-based previsualization or voice cloning.
  • Track roundups – the story of the week from one of our eight tracks.

What to expect from us

When Reels launch, they will follow the same standards as our written stories. They will be written and fact-checked by people, free of paid placements, and labeled according to our Synthetic Content Transparency policy. If a video contains generated footage, we will say so on screen and in the description. We will not publish undisclosed synthetic depictions of real people.

No date yet

We are not announcing a launch date and are not making promises about format, length or schedule. We are a new publication, and we would rather build this well than rush it out. We will not show view counts or any other audience figures.

Read the explainers in the meantime

While the video side is being developed, our written stories already do much of this work. Browse the eight tracks, from Cinema & AI to Celebrity AI, to find explanations of how generative tools are changing film, music, games and performance. Every story is reported by people and says clearly when it is part of our launch edition.

Tell us what you want to see

If you have ideas for Reels, send them to [email protected]. We are listening.
