Editorial Independence

Our newsroom answers to readers, not to advertisers, studios or AI companies.

Trust is the only asset a news publication really owns. This page explains the rules we set for ourselves so that you can judge our coverage on its merits. Because NewsEntertAI is a new, independent publication, we are writing these rules down before we need them.

No paid coverage

We do not accept payment, gifts, free services or other benefits in exchange for coverage, for a favorable tone, or for leaving something out. Story selection, headlines, angles and conclusions are decided by editors and writers. No company, studio, label, platform or tool maker can buy a mention, a ranking or a review.

Separation of business and editorial

Anyone who may one day handle partnerships or advertising will not decide what gets reported. If a commercial relationship could reasonably look like a conflict, we will say so in the story it touches, or we will not cover the subject.

If sponsorship is ever offered

We currently run no sponsored content. Should that change, we commit to the following:

  • Sponsored material will be clearly labeled as sponsored, with the sponsor named, in a visible position at the top of the item.
  • It will look different from our reporting and will never be presented as a news story or a review.
  • Sponsors will not see or approve our editorial coverage in advance.
  • We will maintain a public list of sponsorship relationships on this site.

Using AI tools in our work

Stories are reported and written by people. Where we use generated imagery or any automated tool, we describe it on our Synthetic Content Transparency page. A tool never decides what is true; an editor does.

Corrections policy

We make mistakes, and we correct them openly. If you spot an error of fact, a misleading headline or an unfair characterization, write to [email protected] with the story title and what you believe is wrong. We will review it promptly. When we confirm an error:

  • We fix the text and add a dated correction note to the story.
  • We do not quietly rewrite history; significant changes are explained.
  • We tell the person or organization affected where that is possible.

Launch edition note

During the launch edition, stories are illustrative and feature fictional subjects. These independence rules apply to them all the same, and we will keep them as the publication moves toward real-world reporting.
